Frequently Asked Questions
The Rehab Tech Summit is a virtual conference, with 60+ sessions on topics of interest to those curious about the intersection of rehabilitation and technology. The summit is specifically targeted towards rehabilitation professionals, namely Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists. The summit hopes to empower and encourage therapists with all levels of practice and from all areas of practice to adopt technology for use in their clinical practices or to move towards non-clinical roles involving technology.
After each session is played at it’s scheduled time, it will become available to watch, at your convenience, from anywhere you’d like. The sessions will be available to watch on demand for 60 days after the summit ends!
The summit will be streamed through a virtual conference platform. You will receive an access code at least one week prior to the conference with information on how to login. All of the sessions will be accessible to you on the platform. You can login from anywhere and at any time. Unless you join a live meeting or networking, you will not be on camera.
The coursework of the Rehab Tech Summit has been approved by Tennessee’s state OT licensing board for approx. 20 CEU hours, which may not be where the licensee resides. The Summit participant will be responsible for submitting the certificate of participation to their own board of licensure for approval. However, most states acknowledge reciprocity with individual state approval and acknowledge approval within disciplines, although this is on a state-by-state basis. Look to your practice act for specific requirements for continuing education submission for additional details.
If you would like certificates to submit for CEU, you will be required to complete an evaluation for each eligible course. You will have until the close of the summit platform on May 21, 2022, to watch sessions and submit your evaluations. Once the platform closes, we will look at all of your evaluations and verify your attendance at the relevant sessions and send you one certificate for your total CEU hours. Further details will be provided and updated here.
Currently we are in the process of obtaining state approval in California for OT, PT, and SLP as well. We will update here as this becomes available.

The sessions range in length from 30-90 minutes long and will be scheduled throughout the three day period. Some sessions will be pre-recorded with the presenters most often present online for questions via chat. Some sessions will be live and speakers will do a live Q&A. A few sessions will be live and interactive, offering the opportunity to interact with participants and speakers through breakout rooms.
The sessions have been organized around four key tracks: student, career growth, tech-curious and inventor. A description of each of these tracks can be found here. If you have a specific track that resonates with you, you can build your schedule around that track and know that the content being provided will match that.
Each session will have labels informing each attendee of the four tracks offered. You will be able to build your schedule or customize your sessions based on these markers.
The format for the sessions, regardless of track, can be in one of three formats: career pathway interviews, skill-building workshops, and healthtech life seminars.
Career pathway interviews are 1:1 interviews with clinicians who have transitioned from clinical to non-clinical roles. Presenters explain their story, how they got to where they are, and will provide you with key take-aways so that you can get there too!
Skill-building workshops are sessions by leaders in the field who provide entry-level education on topics that we don’t learn in rehab school! A lot of these are skills that you may need when entering a non-clinical role. How do you start a business? How do you build an app? What is product management? Can I do user research? These are all questions we hope to answer through these sessions.
Healthtech Life seminars are sessions that explore the company and culture of industry life. Most of these are live panels with startup folks who will share the real story of startup culture.
As sessions are announced for 2023, we will share an agenda.
The VIP ticket includes access to all of our incredible sessions for all three events – The Neuro Edition, The Rehab Tech Summit main event and The AgeTech Review. That’s 6 days of content and over 60 sessions! You’ll also get the opportunity for 20+ CEU hours, multiple networking sessions and giveaways, and access to our job board.
The Event only tickets give you access only to the event you are purchasing it for. For example, if you purchase The Neuro Edition Event Only Ticket, then you’ll have access to our platform for the Main Summit, including all of the sessions and networking happening then. Following that, you’ll still have access to your recorded content for 60 days, but even though the other events will be happening (the main summit and the AgeTech Review), you will not have access to those sessions or networking. Unfortunately, you also cannot qualify for any CEU hours.
You will have a chance to learn from presenters from multiple companies and roles within technology (check out our speaker pages for more information and bios) and they will tell their stories and provide actionable steps on how to transition into a role such as theirs. Our skill building track has courses that introduce you to UX design, product and project management, gaming applications as well as creating your own rehab product. In addition, you’ll obtain tips from career coaches and resume builders on how to best position yourself for a role transition from healthcare to tech.
The Summit will provide insight on the possibilities for a future role in tech as well as provide guidance on how to best leverage technology in your current role in the clinic, helping you to explore technologies you may be drawn to and build relationships you can leverage later on.
Given the possibilities for therapy professionals in technology fields as health tech continues to grow, the Summit will give you an opportunity to see how other therapists have used their clinical expertise and knowledge to move into positions within technology companies. You will learn how to set up a Capstone experience in tech (OTD students) and generally explore different applications for rehabilitation technology. As a bonus, you’ll receive a guide to clinical practice areas to consider if you are interested in a future position in technology.
Your ticket and login will be unique to you and you would not be able to login from multiple accounts. Your co-workers and friends are invited to purchase a ticket and enjoy the Summit through their own login! Anyone who purchases a ticket will also be able to re-visit sessions and watch missed sessions at any time up to 60 days after the event.
