Occupational Therapist turned UX Researcher

Trained as an Occupational Therapist, I investigate the needs of people with disabilities to help design their environments and workflows to meet their goals. As an aspiring Design Researcher, I aim to combine this analytical background with the methodical framework of design thinking to inform effective, accessible, and equitable designs. I am passionate about working and advocating for communities that experience systemic barriers, digital inclusion and universal design, accessibility, and non-traditional backgrounds.

A common thread of thinking when working through a user research proposal and project involves outlining the process along design thinking principles. In his presentation, Jonas will speak to the similarities that exist between these two areas of practice with examples that span his therapeutic and design knowledge.
